
Allene D. Evans has been lead counsel and co-counsel in major products liability, personal injury, fraud and insurance related cases. As a former felony prosecutor, as Chief of the Antitrust Division of Texas Attorney General's Office, as Governor Ann Richards' appointee to the State Board of Insurance, and, since 1994, as a trial attorney in private practice, she has a long history of working for fairness and against wrong-doing.
Allene Evans was admitted to the Minnesota
Bar in 1977 and the Texas Bar in 1983. She was also
admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court;
US Court of Appeals, Fifth and Ninth Circuits; U.S.
District Courts, Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western
Districts of Texas and the District of Minnesota.
Allene Evans is a member of the State Bar of Texas
(Chair, Antitrust and Business Litigation Section,
1993-94), US-Mexico Bar Association (formerly Texas-Mexico
Bar Association; Chair, 2001), Attorneys Information
Exchange Group (AIEG) (Board of Directors), American
Association for Justice, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association,
Western Trial Lawyers Association and a board member
of Texas Appleseed. Evans was awarded the Texas Outstanding
Public Service Award from Consumers Union, Public Citizen,
Texas Citizen Action, Texas Consumer Association and
Texas Gray Panthers. She was appointed to the Texas
State Board of Insurance by Governor Ann Richards
and served from 1991 to 1994. She also served as Assistant
City Attorney of Corpus Christi, 1983-84; Assistant
District Attorney, 1984-85 and Assistant Attorney General
of Texas, 1985-91, including Chief, Antitrust Division,
1987-91.
Allene was educated at the University of the Americas
(Cholula, Mexico) and Adams State College (Alamosa,
Colorado), where she received a B.A. in 1972. In 1977,
Evans earned a J.D., cum laude, from the University
of Minnesota.
Allene Evans is involved in litigation of major products

Toyota, Chrysler and Suzuki, a major pharmacy chain,
refineries, trucking companies and others.
